Kingston & Co is owned and run by Tony Kingston.  No other staff are employed, so a personal service is ensured.  The person you talk to is the person who does all the work and will therefore have a detailed knowledge of your affairs.

Personal profile
Tony Kingston is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in both accountancy practice and commerce and industry.

“I trained and qualified with a small firm in the City of London, dealing mainly with small businesses - sole traders, partnerships and companies.

Following qualification I worked for Stoy Hayward (now BDO Stoy Hayward, one of the top five accountancy firms) as a senior and then a manager, supervising a team dealing with accounts and audits of larger businesses and public companies.

There then followed a time "on the other side of the fence", working as a finance director in engineering companies and in small head-office teams of plc's.

I have now come back to where I started, helping taxpayers and people running small businesses.  From 1992 to 1997 I was a partner in a two-partner firm in Stamford, and since 1997 I have been running my own business.”

Philosophy
“I believe that accounts and tax should be made as simple as possible.  Although I make maximum use of technology to carry out the work as efficiently as possible, the important thing is communication with clients where the personal touch is so important.  This is where everything should be discussed without jargon and where the service should be tailored to suit the client's individual needs.
